Rural Health Services, Inc. of Aiken, SC invites applications for the position  of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of this organization. The CEO is hired by and is responsible to the Board of Directors as the chief administrative officer of the Corporation. Rural Health Services (RHS) is a successful, private, non-profit, Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) serving Aiken County, South Carolina since 1971.  Our mission is to provide accessible, quality, comprehensive primary healthcare services in a dignified and culturally competent manner to the population in Aiken County and surrounding areas. Our focus is on improving the health of our patients with state-of-the-art technology and extraordinary care in fifteen service lines.

Rural Health Services seven locations are thirty minutes from Augusta, GA (home of the Masters Tournament), one hour from Columbia, SC, and within three hours of Charleston, SC, coastal beaches, and the Appalachian Mountains. Aiken is noted for its famous thoroughbred horses, vibrant downtown, numerous parks and golf courses, wonderful weather, spacious avenues, and historic homes.

Over the past five years our 31 providers and a total staff of 168 have  averaged 16,200 patients visiting our Centers an average of 58,892 times per year, with a 5-year trend of an increase of 1,497 patients and 3,740 visits per year.

Candidates should have at least ten years of progressive healthcare leadership experience at a senior management level in a community healthcare setting.  A Master’s degree in Public Health, Public Administration, Social Work, Sociology, Education, or suitable education/experience in one of these or a closely related field is preferred.

Salary is commensurate with education and experience.
