PRIMARY FUNCTION The pharmacist works as part of an interdisciplinary team to dispense and compound medication pursuant to a valid prescription written by a heath care provider. The pharmacist provides education to patients about their medication, its use and reviews DUR. The pharmacist is also responsible for the daily pharmacy operations.PRINCIPLE DUTIES Reviews prescriptions issued by authorized prescriber to assure accuracy, proper filling and a prospective drug utilization review for both new and refilled prescriptions.
