Monitor pharmacy productivity and financial metrics and implement strategies to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness
Optimize third-party payer reimbursement through effective billing practices
Partner with financial and clinical leadership to ensure cost-effective use of vaccines and clinic-administered medications
Ensure completion of annual inventory of all Waco Family Medicine pharmacies
Improve performance of pharmacy staff, including:
Provide leadership, guidance, and training to pharmacy staff, including pharmacists-in-charge, pharmacists, technicians, and support personnel
Provide education and training to pharmacy staff on new medications, technologies, and best practices
Foster an environment of outstanding customer service by the pharmacy team and actively identify opportunities to enhance the patient experience
Perform as pharmacist when needed to ensure sufficient capacity and support pharmacy team
Ensure compliance with all pharmacy, 340B and related regulatory requirements, including:
Facilitate regular audits of the 340B program and appropriate response to audit findings
Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the safe and effective dispensing of medications and improve operational efficiency
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and regulatory inspections, ensuring adherence to standards of practice and accreditation requirements
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide optimal patient care, such as the implementation of clinical pharmacy services
Stay informed about emerging trends and developments in pharmacy practice and healthcare delivery
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or Doctorate of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree. Valid pharmacist license in the State of Texas. Minimum of 3 years of pharmacist experience, with leadership experience with the 340B program and/or in a federally qualified health center (FQHC) highly preferred.
