POSITION SUMMARY
The Chief Quality and Safety Officer (CQSO) is responsible for leading and managing all specialty services as assigned by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) as defined within the Position Responsibilities of this job description. The CQSO shall develop and oversee all associated systems and will work to improve Hidalgo Medical Services' (HMS) image, quality of care and services, safety, financial position, and number of individuals served.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Dental Services:
- Oversees the operations of the HMS Dental Division and all associated clinical and non-clinical aspects of services as per HMS, state, and federal rules, regulations, and laws. The CQSO must abide by all HMS CEO and Board of Directors approved policies and procedures.
- Quality Improvement, Patient Safety, Environmental Safety, and Value-Based Care:
- Oversees the operations of the HMS Quality Improvement and Value-Based Care Division and all associated clinical and non-clinical aspects of services as per HMS, state, and federal rules, regulations, and laws. The CQSO must abide by all HMS CEO and Board of Directors approved policies and procedures.
- Senior Services:
- Oversees the operations of the HMS Senior Services Division and all associated aspects of services as per HMS, state, and federal rules, regulations, and laws. The CQSO must abide by all HMS CEO and Board of Directors approved policies and procedures.
- Facilities, Custodial, and Security:
- Oversees the operations of the HMS Facilities, Custodial, and Security Divisions, and all associated aspects of services as per HMS, state, and federal rules, regulations, and laws. The CQSO must abide by all HMS CEO and Board of Directors approved policies and procedures.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Masters of Business Administration or Public Health Required
Two (2) Years of Healthcare Leadership Experience Required.
Two (2) Years of Federally Qualified Health Center Experience Required.
Fluency in English and Spanish; both written and oral preferred.
Effective Verbal and Written Communication Skills Required.
